Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle Expo

#MyLifeChoices

#MyLifeChoices is Adelaide’s largest and most iconic disability and ageing event, putting ageing and disability organisations in front of thousands of consumers who access up-to-date information, discover pathways, explore their options, try out products, learn about services and enjoy a fun day out in the community.
The Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle Expo has been planned and delivered on behalf of Catalyst Foundation in 2018, 2019 and 2021. Over these three years the Expo saw 10,426 visitors, 581 stalls, exceeded financial targets for the organiser each year, received an average 87% and 99% positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors respectively, engaged 549 attendees at networking events and connected with more than 60 volunteers who worked hard to make this event the benchmark for ageing and disability events in SA.

T H E  2 0 2 1  E X P O
The #MyLifeChoices has been chosen by as a way to empower consumers to choose how they want to live their lives and the 2021 Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle Expo lived up to its name.

At the Adelaide Showground on 14 October 2021, 3,753 attendees met with and heard from 190 businesses and organisations that jumped on the opportunity to have face-to-face interaction with prospective customers, at the largest ageing and disability Expo that has ever taken place in SA.

Very importantly, Catalyst Foundation was honoured Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia opened the 2021 #MyLifeChoices. Her Excellency acknowledged the importance of the work, collaboration and commitment of disability, ageing and lifestyle providers present at the Expo and the role Catalyst Foundation plays in enabling accurate, timely and relevant information and advice to access services and products supporting independence and choice in the lives of South Australians.

The Expo Networking Breakfast was held on the same day at Ridley Centre and was attended by 280 professionals. Ngarrindjeri Narungga Kaurna man Robert Taylor gave a Welcome to Country and Guest Speaker Anthony Black, Head of Risk and National Care Practice Leader from Ansvar Australia presented on "Governing for Vulnerable People".

Attendees commented on the thought-provoking presentation and took the opportunity to build relationships, connect with potential partners, develop business opportunities and gain advice and insights from other industry professionals.
